I work primarily with photography, using gelatin silver prints as the foundation of my practice. Through multiple exposures, collage, drawing, painting, and other forms of physical intervention, I alter and reconstruct photographic images.

I am interested in the distance between what we see and what we experience. A photograph begins with something that existed in front of the camera, but the image that remains is never exactly the same as the experience itself. Memory, emotion, and the passage of time inevitably change the way we see what we have encountered.

For me, working with a photograph is a way of returning to that experience. By cutting, layering, drawing, and physically altering the image, I move between what was there and what remains in my memory. The photograph becomes not simply a record of a place or a moment, but a trace of my relationship with it.

Through this process, I explore how I see, remember, and reconstruct the reality I experience from fragments of images. I also try to step outside the world as it has been divided and defined by human names and meanings, and to reconsider what exists through different relationships.
